The Lviv Police have identified the woman who was killed in a road accident in the village of Sokilnyky.
The woman was 32 years old and resided in the Odessa region. The incident occurred on November 4th at about 05:10 on the “Western Bypass of Lviv” road in the village of Sokilnyky, Lviv district.
Preliminary reports indicate that the driver of an Opel Zafira, a 42-year-old resident of the Stryi district, hit the woman. The impact threw her onto the oncoming lane, where she was struck by a DAF truck driven by a 69-year-old resident of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The woman died at the scene from her injuries.
Investigators have opened a criminal case under part 2 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The penalty under this article includes imprisonment for three to eight years with the deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years, or without such deprivation.
Law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of the traffic accident. Witnesses of the accident are asked to contact the hotline at 102!
