During his tenure in office, the deputy director of one of the state-owned coal enterprises of the Lviv region improperly performed his duties, as a result of which the state suffered losses of almost 400,000 hryvnias.
The Police of the Lviv region informed the Voice of Sokal Region about this.
The perpetrator was exposed by the investigators of the General Criminal Investigation Department of the Lviv Oblast Police together with the employees of the Strategic Investigations Office in the Lviv Oblast under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Oblast Prosecutor’s Office.
It was established that the official did not conduct a price study of the market value of fuel, which was purchased for the needs of the mine at an inflated price, and did not initiate the issue of terminating the contract with the supplier after discovering this fact. As a result, almost 390,000 hryvnias of damage was caused to the enterprise.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings opened under Part 2 of Article 367 (Official Negligence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been completed. The indictment is referred to the court.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of up to five years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years and with a fine of two hundred and fifty to seven hundred and fifty non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or without such.
