An official of the Drohobych District Administration is suspected of organizing the illegal disposal of a land plot from community ownership.
According to the investigation, the official involved an acquaintance from Drohobych to commit the crime. In 2021, he obtained a forged decision from the village council to prepare a land management project. The matter concerns 0.65 hectares of land in Novi Kropyvnyk, Drohobych District. The material damage amounts to over 700,000 UAH.
The official has been detained and informed of the suspicion of embezzling property. A decision on a preventive measure and temporary suspension from office is being considered. Investigative actions are ongoing, and all involved individuals are being identified.
The ‘new owner’ of the plot has already been informed of suspicion of fraud and property legalization. The pre-trial investigation is conducted by the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv region.
