In the Lviv region, an official of a municipal enterprise is suspected of causing harm to the environment.
According to the investigation, from March 2019 to August 2023, the acting director of the Drohobych municipal enterprise repeatedly allowed the disposal of waste on a plot of land not designated for this purpose. Its area is 2 hectares and has been allocated for the permanent use of the enterprise for the construction and maintenance of municipal service facilities. **The placement of solid household waste** on this territory is prohibited.
Significant environmental damage was caused — the land was littered and polluted. The total damage is estimated at nearly 19 million UAH. The issue of choosing a preventive measure is currently being decided, and measures are being taken to compensate for the damages.
