An official of the territorial recruitment and social support center (TCC) in Zakarpattia is suspected of taking a bribe to facilitate evasion of mobilization.
According to the investigation, the acting platoon commander, together with accomplices, demanded 8,000 USD from a conscript. This was to avoid his conscription into military service and not to send him to the training center for basic military training.
It has been established that the major ensured, through subordinates, the delivery of conscripts to the premises of the district TCC and social support center. He then personally met with the relatives of these individuals, negotiating how to ‘resolve the issue’ of avoiding mobilization.
The military officer was detained while receiving 6,000 USD. He has been informed of suspicion under part three of article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Prosecutors have petitioned the court for a precautionary measure and removal from official duties.
