
A large fire broke out on the grounds of the former Iskra factory in Lviv’s Sykhiv district, killing two people. Firefighters discovered their bodies while extinguishing the blaze at a warehouse storing aerosol cans.
According to medical staff, five employees of the enterprise — three women and two men — were taken to St Luke’s Hospital. They all sustained superficial burns and are reported to be in a moderate condition; doctors are providing them with the necessary care.
The fire on the grounds of the former factory has been contained. State Emergency Service units remain at the scene: firefighters are dousing the remaining pockets of fire and inspecting the premises.
