In the Lviv region, due to human negligence, 85 grassland fires were extinguished just in the past day. This led to the destruction of over 9.5 hectares of nature, where all living things perished. This was reported by the Lviv State Emergency Service.
Such fires require not only significant efforts from rescuers but also pose a serious threat to people and their property. Burning dry vegetation is against the law, and penalties are stipulated: for citizens from 3,060 to 6,120 hryvnias, and for officials from 15,300 to 21,420 hryvnias.
An ordinary spark in dry grass can quickly turn into an uncontrollable disaster. We urge you not to burn rubbish, not to light bonfires in windy weather, and not to discard cigarette ends.
