Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Chervonograd District Prosecutor’s Office, the former director of one of the state enterprises of the experimental economy of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine was notified of suspicion of official negligence, which caused serious consequences (Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the man, while serving as the director of a state-owned enterprise, sold more than 500 tons of rapeseed below cost to a private farm. As a result, more than UAH 1 million in losses were caused to the state.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Chervonograd Regional Police Department of the State Police in Lviv Oblast based on the materials of the Chervonograd Regional Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in Lviv Oblast.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
