Sambir District Prosecutor’s Office identified violations that could have led to the illegal use of over 52 million UAH of budget funds.
The violations concerned the financing of the reconstruction of a solid waste landfill in the city of Sambir. Open tenders for the execution of works were conducted with an excess of budget allocations. As a result of the tenders, a contract was concluded between the Sambir municipal enterprise and the winner of the procurement.
The prosecutor’s office concluded that the procurement procedure was illegal and the concluded contract was null and void. *The Sambir District Prosecutor’s Office filed a lawsuit to terminate the contractual relations*, and the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office ensured participation in the case review.
After the lawsuit was filed, the parties agreed with the prosecutor’s arguments and voluntarily terminated the contract. On December 11, 2025, the Commercial Court of Lviv Region closed the proceedings in the case.
