In Rava-Ruska, a contract for major road repairs worth over 18 million UAH has been terminated, as no funds for this work had been allocated in the city budget. This was reported by the Zhovkva District Prosecutor’s Office.
Prosecutors established that a contract for capital repairs of the road on Volodymyr Velykyi Street in the city of Rava-Ruska had been concluded between the Rava-Ruska City Council and a private company. At the same time, the community budget did not include expenditure for this procurement, making it impossible to pay for the works under the contract.
Due to the identified violations, the prosecutor’s office filed a claim with the court seeking to terminate the legal relations under this contract. During the court proceedings, the parties took the prosecutor’s arguments into account and voluntarily terminated the agreement.
The prosecutor’s office notes that thanks to the measures taken, it was possible to prevent the unlawful use of budget funds totalling over 18 million UAH.
