In the Lviv region, prosecutors uncovered illegal actions that could have led to the misappropriation of budget funds for road repairs. The contract, according to which more than 562 million UAH was planned to be allocated, contained significant violations.
It was established that the contract was made between the Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration and a certain company, but the actual work was only completed in 2023. The remaining period, particularly from 2024–2026, saw no works being undertaken.
Despite this, the Department took no action to reduce the contract volume or terminate it. Instead, an additional agreement was signed in December 2025, postponing the fulfilment of the obligations by another year.
The prosecution, noticing these violations, filed a lawsuit to have the additional agreement declared invalid. The parties accepted the prosecutor’s arguments and agreed to voluntarily terminate the contract without court intervention.
Thus, improper expenditure of budget funds was successfully avoided.
