The commercial court of the Lviv region satisfied the lawsuit of the Drohobytsk district prosecutor’s office. The latter made a decision to recover damages caused by illegal logging from the permanent forest user.
It was established that the business entity violated the requirements of environmental legislation.
In particular, during felling, more trees were felled than was provided for in the logging ticket. Illegal felling by unidentified persons was also allowed.
These facts are confirmed by the inspection of the State Environmental Inspection in the Lviv region and the conclusion of the engineering and environmental examination.
As a result of such actions, more than UAH 1 million in damage was caused to the state.
Taking into account the above, the court agreed with the arguments of the prosecutor and satisfied the claim in full.
