At the “Smilnytsia” checkpoint, border guards, together with customs officers, discovered a consignment of equipment during the inspection of a vehicle entering Ukraine. In the luggage compartment of a Renault minibus, driven by a 49-year-old resident of Lviv region, there were laptops — a total of 54 MacBooks.
According to the driver, he purchased the equipment in Poland supposedly for personal use. The estimated value of the find could reach 1.5 million hryvnias. The operation was conducted in cooperation with customs officials.
