Border guards of the Carpathian unit, in cooperation with customs officials, detected seven attempts at illegal movement of goods across the border.
The total value of the uncovered goods may reach 5 million UAH. Most infractions – five cases, were recorded at the ‘Shehyni’ checkpoint. Among the discovered items: stylers, hairdryers, antique pocket watches, a branded pen approximately from the 1930s, elite clothing, shoes, suitcases, bags, and cosmetics of world brands.
At the ‘Rava-Ruska’ checkpoint, an attempt to transport equipment – mobile phones, a microphone, action cameras, a game console, and other electronics – a total of 15 items was stopped. In ‘Krakivets’, 10 laptops with a total estimated value of about 2 million UAH were discovered.
All these goods were attempted to be moved across the state border without proper declaration. The violators have been issued respective protocols.
