In Lviv, a serious road traffic accident occurred late at night on 10th May on Staroznesenska Street. A Ford Transit car collided with an electric pole, trapping the driver inside the vehicle.
Rescuers from the city’s third state firefighting and rescue unit quickly arrived at the scene. They used hydraulic shears to free the victim, placing a neck collar on him.
Following this, the rescuers, in conjunction with medical staff, transported the driver using a spinal board to an ambulance. He was hospitalised in a critical condition at St. Panteleimon’s Hospital.
The circumstances of this road traffic incident are being investigated by law enforcement agencies.
