“A Mercedes and a Citroën, which were on the international wanted list, were found by border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment at the Krakivets and Shehyni checkpoints.
While checking the documents for the cars, the Interpol database was triggered. It turned out that the Mercedes made in 2023 was stolen in Germany, and the Citroën made in 2008 was stolen in the Czech Republic.
The border guards informed the Ukrainian Interpol Bureau in Kyiv and received confirmation that the vehicles were indeed registered as stolen vehicles.
The vehicles were handed over to the National Police.
