Following a public prosecution by prosecutors of the Halych District Prosecutor’s Office of Lviv, a 34-year-old local resident was found guilty of illegal acquisition, storage with intent to sell and sale of particularly dangerous psychotropic substances (Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He was sentenced to 6 years and 1 month of imprisonment with confiscation of all his property.
Prosecutors proved in court that in March 2024, in Lviv, the defendant was engaged in the sale of a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance. In particular, it was PVP.
The defendant acted according to the usual scheme. First, he illegally purchased a psychotropic substance. Later, while in the Vysokyi Zamok park, he made bookmarks with rolls of the prohibited substance and recorded the geographical coordinates for potential “buyers”.
However, law enforcement officers promptly discovered and seized the “goods”.
Until the verdict enters into force, the defendant will be held in custody.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the LRU No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.
