In the Lviv region, a serial thief suspected of numerous thefts will be put on trial. According to law enforcement officials, a 38-year-old resident of the Lviv District, after being released from a correctional facility, continued his criminal activities. For his offences, he faces up to eight years of imprisonment.
At the beginning of January, the criminal broke into a resident’s house in one of the villages of the Lviv District by damaging a window, from where he stole money, jewellery, and other property totalling almost 300,000 hryvnias. Less than a week later, he entered the premises of another household in a neighbouring village and stole property worth nearly 7,000 hryvnias.
To investigate the crimes, operatives from the criminal police and investigators under the guidance of the Pustomyty District Prosecutor’s Office were involved. Pre-trial investigations have been completed, and the indictments have been directed to the court.
