Under the procedural leadership of the Galician District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Lviv, an indictment was sent to the court against a 51-year-old resident of Zolochiv district for fraud (Part 1, Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the accused, while in the correctional colony, fraudulently took possession of the money of the wife of a soldier.
A woman posted an ad on Facebook looking for a man who had not been in touch for a long time. The latter is an active serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is in the combat zone. After seeing this announcement, the stuntman wrote to the victim and assured that he could provide an opportunity to talk to him.
For this service, the victim transferred funds to the mobile phone number specified by the accused.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of police department No. 1 of Lviv district police department No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
