Sheptytskyi District Tightens Control Over Arsonists

In the Sheptytskyi District, control over arsonists has been intensified. Preventive patrols are being conducted, involving rescue officers, representatives from the ‘Carpathian Forest Office’ branch, law enforcement officers, and government bodies. They identify offenders and remind them of the consequences of irresponsible behaviour towards the environment.

For effective detection of fire outbreaks, rescuers use UAVs. Offenders are held administratively accountable for violations in accordance with current legislation. Rescuers also engage with the public, emphasising the ban on burning dry vegetation and the dangers of such fires.

Fines for violations range from 3,060 to 6,120 UAH for citizens and from 15,300 to 21,420 UAH for officials. Citizens are urged to refrain from burning dry grass, as it harms the environment and endangers human lives.
