The accident occurred on 1 December, at around 18.10, on the Zolochiv-Krasne Busk motorway near the village of Honcharivka, Zolochiv district.
Law enforcement officers have preliminarily established that a Volkswagen Tuaran driven by a 47-year-old resident of Busk and a Kia Sorento driven by a 30-year-old resident of Busk collided.
As a result of the accident, the drivers of both vehicles, the passengers of the Kia Sorento – a two-year-old girl and a 30-year-old woman – and the passengers of the Volksvagen Tuaran – a 19-year-old resident of Busk and a 21-year-old resident of a village in Zolochiv district – were injured and taken to medical institutions.
Investigators of the Zolochiv District Police Department opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
