This morning, residents of Sokal, who were rushing to the Sunday Liturgy at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, were shocked by what they saw: some hand of a vandal damaged the stele of Heroes near the church.
This is what (non)humans do. And the boys gave their lives for them, – Vasyl Sorochuk, the editor-in-chief of “Voice of the Bug” Vasyl Sorochuk, said in a post on the Facebook social network.

In connection with this event, the Sokal City Council reported the following:
During the war, when thousands of patriots-warriors are defending Ukraine, someone raised their hand to damage the portraits of those who died for our Independence and freedom.
This is a terrible act of vandalism and the person who did it should suffer the most severe punishment.
The Sokal City Council appealed to the Sokal Police Department #2 for a proper response and search for those involved in this act of vandalism. The law enforcement officers must find and punish the guilty persons, such facts must not escape the hands of vandals.
Let’s think: what is in the head of this person? Does the conscience not torment for the tears of children, mothers, wives who lost their dearest ones in the war? We don’t need enemies when our people are worse than the occupier…
