The case against the vice-rector who involved military personnel in the construction of his house in Khmelnytskyi region has been sent to court.
According to the investigation, in 2024, six military personnel and two civilian employees of the academy, instead of performing their official duties, were engaged in completing the construction of a private house in Khmelnytskyi. Despite this, they continued to receive salaries and monetary allowances, causing state damages amounting to almost 500 thousand hryvnias.
During the conducted searches, academy property (beds, air conditioners, laminate, tiles, etc.), which had previously been written off the balance, was seized. Assets and property valued at 900 thousand hryvnias have been arrested.
The official was dismissed from his position and transferred to a unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in the East. He is charged with exceeding his authority and misappropriation of military property during martial law. The sanction provides for a punishment of up to 15 years of imprisonment.
The public prosecution will be supported by prosecutors from the Khmelnytskyi specialized prosecution in the field of defense of the Western region.
