Stryi Resident Sentenced to 3 Years for Evading Military Service

In Stryi, a court found a 31-year-old local resident guilty of avoiding conscription during mobilization and sentenced him to three years in prison. The defendant was deemed fit for service by the military medical commission in March 2023. On the same day, he received a summons to report to the military but failed to appear at the recruitment center without valid reasons. The investigation was conducted by the police of the Stryi District Administration in Lviv region. The sentence will become effective after the expiration of the appeal period.
