The Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office completed the pre-trial investigation and sent an indictment to the court against two residents of the city of Lviv for organizing and assisting in the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine for selfish reasons (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that those involved, acting on a prior conspiracy, promised to transport a conscripted resident of Lviv Oblast across the state border of Ukraine on the basis of false official documents certifying his studies in the Republic of Poland.
They valued their services at $11,000.
At the request of the prosecutor, the property of the accused was seized.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was carried out by the investigators of the Investigative Department of the State Government of NP in the Lviv region under the operative support of the department for the protection of public and state interests of the State Government of NP in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
