A contractor and a technical supervisor engineer will be tried in the Lviv region for misconduct during the repair of an administrative building.
The entrepreneur embezzled over 180,000 hryvnias from the village council. He faces up to eight years in prison. The engineer, who did not properly perform his duties, faces up to three years of restriction of liberty.
In 2023, an agreement for major repairs of the building was concluded between the village council of Yavoriv District and the entrepreneur. The contractor forged documents, overestimating the budget by more than 182,000 hryvnias. These acts were signed and certified by the engineer.
The individuals involved were exposed by police investigators and SBU operatives in Lviv region. The pre-trial investigation has been completed, and the indictment has been submitted for court consideration.
