Prosecutors of the Halych District Prosecutor’s Office in Lviv have sent to court an indictment against a 28-year-old local resident. He is charged with illegal acquisition, storage of psychotropic substances, especially dangerous psychotropic substances, especially dangerous narcotic drugs in large amounts and especially dangerous narcotic drugs with intent to sell (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that in June 2024, in Lviv, the accused intended to organise the sale of psychotropic substances and narcotic drugs.
To do this, the man ordered a batch of PVP on the Telegram messenger. After receiving the parcel at the post office, he put it in a car, in which he was going to leave the scene. However, law enforcement officers detained him.
During searches in the car and at his residence, almost 3.3 kg of PVP, about 300 grams of cannabis, almost 80 grams of amphetamine and more than 55 grams of methamphetamine, as well as 268 MDMA tablets were found and seized.
The estimated value at black market prices is over UAH 2 million.
The offender is currently in custody.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region with the operational support of the SBU Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.
Note: In accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved by law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
