A tragedy occurred in the Lviv district: a man died as a result of being hit by a train.
The traffic accident took place on September 8, around 20:30, at the second picket of the ‘Koropuzh’ station in the village of Koropuzh, Lviv district. As initially established by law enforcement officers, the train on the ‘Chop-Kyiv’ route hit a 32-year-old resident of Lviv. The man died at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision.
Based on the fact, investigators of police department No.1 of the Lviv District Police Administration No.2 opened a criminal case under part 3 of article 276 (‘Violation of safety rules for traffic or operation of railway, water, or air transport’) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article’s sanction provides for punishment with imprisonment for a term of five to ten years. The police are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
