The traffic accident occurred on March 17 at 11:10 a.m. on the Kyiv-Chop highway within the Lviv district.
As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, a Peugeot Expert driven by a 35-year-old resident of a village in Lviv district and a Ford Fusion driven by a resident of Lviv, also aged 35, collided.
As a result of the collision, the drivers of the vehicles, as well as two passengers of the Ford – a 36-year-old woman and a 10-year-old child – were injured and taken to the hospital.
Investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
