Three Soldiers Accused of Selling Army Fuel

The special prosecutor’s office from Prykarpattia has sent to court a case regarding three soldiers accused of illegally selling 5 tons of military diesel fuel.

Between January and June 2025, the company commander of the material support unit, along with his colleagues – the commander of the electro-gas platoon and a driver – repeatedly removed fuel from the military unit. They forged documents, writing off the fuel as used for combat tasks.

Later, the diesel fuel was sold to local entrepreneurs, including owners of public transport. The price was 40 hryvnias per liter, resulting in over 5 tons of fuel being sold.

*Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office*, the criminal scheme was documented, and the accused were detained. Their actions are qualified under part 4 of article 410 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The punishment for such actions is from 10 to 15 years imprisonment.
