Three Transcarpathians in Lviv Charged with Robbery

Three residents from Transcarpathia have been charged with a robbery on a 65-year-old woman from Lviv, which occurred on the evening of 3 February. The consequences of this attack could be severe, as they face up to fifteen years in prison. This was reported by MVS Lviv.

The assailants attacked the woman near a grocery store on Chervona Kalyna Avenue. They brutally beat her until she lost consciousness, after which they took her gold and silver jewellery, a handbag containing a mobile phone, documents and money. The woman was left unconscious on the street, where passers-by later found her.

A team of detectives was mobilised to investigate the crime, and they were quickly able to identify the suspects – 32, 30, and 16-year-old residents of Transcarpathia. They were arrested and taken to the police station in accordance with article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The indictment against them has already been submitted to court. The maximum penalty for the accused could be up to 15 years of imprisonment and confiscation of property.
