Three administrators of Telegram and Viber channels, who helped avoid mobilization, have been notified of suspicion.
Under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, three residents of Lviv region have been notified of suspicion. They are charged with obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period (Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, since the autumn of 2024, the suspects informed residents of Lviv and its surrounding areas about the location and movement of representatives of the Territorial Recruitment Centers and Social Protection. In the Telegram and Viber channels, which the suspects administered, information about the dates and places of presence of staff from recruitment centers conducting mobilization activities was disseminated among the subscribers.
Also, group participants themselves had the opportunity to freely post messages on such topics. This allowed individuals subject to military service to avoid receiving draft notices and evade mobilization.
During searches at the suspects’ residences, mobile phones with signs of illegal activity were discovered and seized. The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
