The road accident occurred on 5 June, at around 17.50, at the intersection of Vesnianaya and Lvivskaya streets in Bryukhovychi.
As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, a car Skoda Kodiaq driven by a 59-year-old Lviv resident collided with a motorcycle Spark driven by a 50-year-old resident of Lviv.
As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist was injured and hospitalised.
Investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of the rules of road safety). The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
