In the locality of Bryukhovychi, a road traffic collision occurred involving a Skoda Superb. The woman driving this car hit a parked Nissan X-Trail, and then, through inertia, also struck a parked minibus.
After the collision, the 29-year-old driver left the scene. Patrol officers identified her and got in touch with her. When the woman returned, the inspectors noticed signs of alcohol intoxication.
According to the driver, she had consumed an alcoholic drink after the collision had already taken place. A test for intoxication was carried out in a medical facility, where the result came back positive — 1.08‰.
The patrol officers drew up three reports against the driver: under Article 124 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences (violation of traffic rules that led to a road traffic collision), under Article 122-4 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences (leaving the scene of a road traffic collision) and under Part 4 of Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences (consumption of alcohol after a collision or after being stopped and before testing by an authorised person).
The police urge drivers to act responsibly and not to endanger themselves or other road users.
