In Bucha, the perpetrator of a double terrorist attack, which injured two law enforcement officers, has been arrested. This was reported by SpecprokuraturaZahidRegion. According to the investigation, at 5:34 am, a report was received about an explosion near a residential building. The first explosive device was placed under a bench, resulting in broken windows, damage to the facade, and gas networks.
After the arrival of emergency services and law enforcement officers, around 7:35, a second explosion occurred. Preliminary data suggests the second device was detonated remotely. As part of the investigation, the direct perpetrator, a Ukrainian citizen born in 2004, has been detained. The investigation also has information about other individuals involved in the crime.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated under part 2 of article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the prosecutor’s office, the SBU, and the National Police, the crime was solved. The events in Bucha are not isolated; similar terrorist attacks have been recorded in Lviv, Kyiv, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, and Odesa. The prosecution authorities believe this is systematic subversive activity by Russian special services.
