The first month of summer brought a grim statistic on the roads of the Lviv region. In June, there were 215 road traffic accidents (RTAs) with casualties, injuring 272 people and resulting in 20 fatalities. The main causes of these accidents remain exceeding safe speed limits, failing to maintain a safe distance, violating maneuvering rules, driving under the influence, and violating the rules of crossing intersections and pedestrian crossings.
\”We urge all road users: drivers, pedestrians, cyclists to be attentive, responsible, and to strictly adhere to traffic rules,\” the police emphasize. Road safety is a shared responsibility, and it is our actions today that will determine how many lives are saved tomorrow.
