In June, there were 41 traffic accidents involving injured motorcyclists in the Lviv region.
As a result of these accidents, 43 people were injured, and unfortunately, 5 people lost their lives. For safe riding on two-wheeled vehicles, it’s important to check the technical condition of the vehicle, particularly the brakes and signaling system. Both the driver and passenger should wear fastened motorcycle helmets. Drivers should consider the road conditions, the specifics of their cargo, and the condition of the vehicle to control its movement effectively.
Riding a motorcycle is allowed from the age of 16 with a valid driver’s license. When maneuvering, use rear-view mirrors and check the ‘blind spot.’ It is recommended to have a medical first aid kit and a warning triangle. Do not overtake other drivers from the right side and do not ride along the dividing line in a traffic jam. Avoid driving under the influence.
Car drivers, remember that you are not the only ones on the road — check your mirrors more often and make your maneuvers predictable. Two-wheeled transport is about freedom and speed. But don’t forget that your safety is in your hands. Follow the rules and take care!
