In Lviv, on Kopernyka Street, a young female pedestrian was injured after being hit by a bus. The incident occurred on 7 August at around 15:15.
According to preliminary information, the driver of the BAZ A07914 bus, a 58-year-old Lviv resident, struck a 21-year-old woman from Lviv who was crossing the road as a pedestrian.
As a result of the road traffic accident, the woman sustained bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.
Investigators from Lviv District Police Department No.1 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road traffic safety regulations. The article provides for a penalty of up to three years of restricted liberty, with disqualification from driving for up to three years.
Police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
