In the village of Dobrohostiv in the Drohobych district, a fire broke out in a single-storey wooden and brick summer kitchen, during which firefighters managed to protect the residential house from the flames.
The report of the fire was received by the Rescue Service 101 on 20 July at 02:53. Before the arrival of the fire and rescue units, neighbours tried to extinguish the flames on their own, but were unable to cope with the fire.
When the emergency crews arrived at the scene, the summer kitchen was already completely engulfed in flames, with the building burning over an area of 36 sq. m. The firefighters carried out extinguishing operations and prevented the fire from spreading to the residential house located nearby.
The fire was contained at 04:44 and fully extinguished at 05:00. The causes of the blaze are currently being established.
