In Drohobych, the administrative commission under the executive committee of the city council has considered two cases concerning breaches of the rules on alcohol sales. They related to the twice repeated sale of low-alcohol drinks to minors by the same shop assistant.
The commission meeting, held on 15 October, was chaired by the executive committee’s office manager, Vitalii Vovkiv. Following its consideration, a ruling was adopted to impose an administrative penalty in the form of a fine amounting to 600 tax-exempt minimum incomes of citizens.
Under the ruling, the fine must be paid within 15 days of its delivery. Once payment has been made, the document confirming the transfer of funds must be submitted to the administrative commission under the executive committee of Drohobych City Council.
The city council reminds business entities and shop assistants of their duty to strictly comply with the requirements of current legislation: the sale of alcoholic drinks to persons under the age of 18 is prohibited in Ukraine.
