In Drohobych, police find 9-year-old boy who got lost in the city

In Drohobych, law enforcement officers swiftly located a 9-year-old boy with developmental disabilities who had got lost in the city. There is no threat to his life or health, and the child did not fall victim to any crime.

As reported by the Drohobych District Police Department, on 9 June at around 17:45 they received a report that a 9-year-old boy had gone missing. He had gone out through the gate of a public organisation’s premises and did not return.

According to the complainant, the child was answering phone calls but could not explain exactly where he was.

Criminal police officers, a dog handler with a service dog, juvenile police officers, officers from the patrol police response unit and other services of the Drohobych District Police Department were involved in the search.

After about an hour, law enforcement officers found the boy. He had been walking around the city and did not know how to get back to the premises he had left.
