On the road between the village of Vaniv and the town of Beltz in the Sheptytskyi district, a road traffic accident occurred. On 28th April, at approximately 13:30, the driver of a Skoda Fabia, a 49-year-old resident of the Sheptytskyi district, lost control of the vehicle, leading to it crashing into a ditch.
As a result of the accident, a 51-year-old passenger in the car, who is also a resident of the Sheptytskyi district, sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalised. According to law enforcement, a criminal case has been opened under part 1 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine concerning a violation of road safety rules. The sanction provides for up to three years of restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for the same period.
The police are continuing to establish all the circumstances of the incident to provide complete information and ensure public order.
