In the town of Dublyany in Lviv district, an 80-year-old man was injured during a dry vegetation fire. The information was released by the rescue service.
On 25 June at 13:48, the Rescue Service received a report of a fire in an open area on Sheptytskoho Street in Dublyany. Dry grass had caught fire, and the flames quickly spread and reached a metal cabin.
The owner of the plot, an 80-year-old man, tried to extinguish the flames on his own but sustained burns to his hands and legs. In a moderate condition, he was taken to a medical facility in Lviv.
Firefighters quickly contained the blaze, and by 14:12 the fire had been completely extinguished.
The State Emergency Service emphasises that burning dry vegetation poses a danger to people and property: in hot and windy weather, fire can get out of control in a matter of minutes.
