In the village of Duliby in the Stryi district, a fire broke out in a residential house, during which neighbours together with the owners of the home tried to contain the spread of the flames before the firefighters arrived.
The report of the fire reached the Rescue Service “101” at 17:25 on 14 July. At the scene it emerged that the residents of the house and concerned neighbours were passing buckets of water, trying to extinguish the blaze, and had also cut off the electricity supply to the house.
When the firefighters arrived, the roof of the residential building was on fire over an area of about 20 sq. m, as well as household belongings over an area of approximately 30 sq. m. The fire was contained at 18:24 and fully extinguished at 18:57.
Firefighters from the 46th State Fire and Rescue Post in the town of Khodoriv were involved in tackling the blaze. Specialists are establishing the causes and circumstances of the fire.
