
A road traffic collision involving three vehicles occurred on 17 June at around 18:00 on Panasa Myrnoho Street in the town of Kamianka-Buzka, Lviv district. As a result of the crash, a four-month-old boy was injured.
According to preliminary findings by law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a Mercedes Atego driven by a 41-year-old resident of Lviv district and a Skoda Fabia driven by a 35-year-old woman, also a resident of Lviv district.
Following the initial impact, the Skoda Fabia then collided with a parked Renault Kangoo. A passenger in the Skoda Fabia, a four-month-old resident of Lviv district, sustained bodily injuries and was taken to hospital.
Investigators from Police Station No.1 of Lviv District Police Department No.1 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety rules). The article provides for a penalty of up to three years’ restriction of liberty with disqualification from driving vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
