In the village of Kamyanopil in Lviv district, a road traffic collision involving a minibus and an electric scooter occurred on 11 August. This was reported by Lviv District Police Department No.1.
At around 17:00, according to preliminary police findings, there was a collision between a Volkswagen Transporter driven by a 32-year-old Lviv resident and an electric scooter ridden by a 50-year-old woman from Lviv district.
As a result of the crash, the electric scooter rider was injured and taken to hospital.
Investigators from Police Station No.1 of Lviv District Police Department No.1 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety rules). The article provides for a penalty of up to three years’ restriction of liberty with disqualification from driving for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
