“Branded Convoy” Detained at Krakivets, Valued at Nearly One Million Hryvnias

At the border checkpoint “Krakivets – Korczowa”, a MERCEDES-BENZ SPRINTER vehicle importing goods into Ukraine was detained. The 21-year-old driver from Ternopil region chose the “red corridor” lane, declaring over 500 kg of used clothing, but an X-ray revealed anomalies.

As a result, customs officers found accessories, clothing, and shoes from well-known brands in the vehicle, including Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, and others. The total value of the seized goods amounted to approximately 700,000 hryvnias.

Previously at the “Shehyni – Medyka” checkpoint during an inspection of a FIAT DUCATO, driven by a resident of Rivne region, smuggled women’s bags and watches from Furla and Baldinini were discovered. Also at “Krakivets” in another MERCEDES-BENZ SPRINTER, products from Nike, Adidas, Zara cosmetics, and others were found. The total value of these finds reaches nearly 1 million hryvnias. Administrative protocols have been drawn up for all cases of customs regulation violations under part 2, article 471 of the CMU.
