In the capital of Ukraine, the gunman who took hostages in a shop has been detained. During his apprehension, the KORD unit of the National Police executed an assault.
The perpetrator held people hostage and opened fire on law enforcement. Before the assault, negotiations were attempted. According to Igor Klymenko, Ukraine’s Interior Minister, unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries. The number of casualties is still being clarified.
