In the village of Dobrosyn in Lviv district, bomb disposal experts from the Lviv Mobile Rapid Response Rescue Centre of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine removed and destroyed munitions dating back to the Second World War.
On 30 July, SES specialists, in accordance with established procedure, rendered safe two 76 mm artillery shells that had been discovered during road surface repairs in Dobrosyn.
Rescuers stress that if you discover objects resembling munitions, you must not touch them, move them or attempt to neutralise them yourself. You should move away to a safe distance, warn others of the danger and immediately call 101 or 102.
The State Emergency Service emphasises that even after many decades such finds remain deadly dangerous.
