On the evening of July 6, at around 19:20, a traffic accident with injuries occurred in the village of Bakivtsi, Lviv District, on the “Lviv – Ivano-Frankivsk – Mukachevo” highway.
According to preliminary police findings, the collision involved a Mercedes Benz GLS SUV driven by a 36-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk and a Volvo FH 460 truck operated by a 45-year-old man from Ivano-Frankivsk Region.
As a result of the crash, the following people sustained injuries:

The 36-year-old driver of the Mercedes,

His passenger, a 14-year-old boy from Ivano-Frankivsk.
Both were taken to medical facilities for treatment.
Police investigators from Department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police have opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules). The maximum penalty under this article is up to three years of restricted freedom and revocation of the right to drive for up to three years.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
